Cardiff Folk Club with Rachel Taylor-Beales

November 8th, 2015

Glad to be performing in Wales again

Rachel Taylor-Beales, a very accomplished songwriter I met a few years ago whilst doing the Bournmouth live music circuit, has her new album launch on Thursday 12th November at 8:00pm.

Looking forward to performing on the same bill as Rachel and hearing some tracks from her album ‘Stones Throw, Lament Of The Selkie’…have a listen!

I know there will be some impressive musical skills on show and I will get to play for a new singer songwriter, acoustic guitar audience; give them a taste of Isle of Purbeck inspired music.

Check out the Cardiff Folk Club ethos; they have the right idea about music.

I always enjoy performing at The Boot; the local and visiting audience really appreciates live singer songwriter acoustic music.

We are informed it is Weymouth’s oldest and most haunted public house.

Live Music at Thomas Tripp Pub Christchurch

November 2nd, 2014

I always Launch a new song at Thomas Tripp gigs

It is not exactly a tradition but it always seems to work out that way; then again, I seem to have a new acoustic song or two added to the set list at every gig. The gig list is always 2 pages long and changes for every gig, with a few favourite singer songwriter pieces that are a great warm up, quite a few difficult fingerstyle ones to challenge me, a few blues numbers and even a few ad lib songs lately; odd how the audience have reacted so well to those ad lib songs, hmm!

Well, I am back at The Thomas Tripp again on Wednesday 12 November. It is always a really great night, with lots of familiar people coming out for my music, with the occasional teasing and friendly heckling that accompanies years of coming to my gigs.

Good to perform again in Swanage

Sunday afternoon gigs are always fun; people are relaxed and listen to the music, which all singer-songwriters like! it is a very good excuse to spend your Sunday afternoon is a cosy Isle of Purbeck pub with friends, it makes it more like a mini concert than a pub gig.

The music set will be fairly varied, with some blues, folk and roots, some rock classics and plenty of original material in a fingerstyle guitar technique.

The Red Lion is a traditional pub located in the heart of the Victorian town of Swanage, has a CAMRA award for their wide selection of Real Ales, serve an extensive range of food from snacks through to exciting special dishes in their newly refurbished restaurant and has a large beer garden.

Hope to see you there!
