Meadrow Acoustic Festival Farncombe Surrey 2015

April 5th, 2015

The Three Lions Charity Festival

the festival is a celebration of acoustic music

There will be 14 acts on 2 stages alternating throughout the day, one featuring bands and the other featuring solo artists.

The festival is a celebration of acoustic music of all types on Sunday 3 May Noon to 11pm.

I’ll be doing my singer songwriter set on the solo stage of course, at 7.50 and it will be a great chance to catch up with some of my great music mates, like Bemis, who are on stage just before me. Sarah and Graham, the landlords at The Three Lions, always put on a good show and Farncombe has a rich heritage in live music events and it is certainly one of my favourite pubs to perform at.

All proceeds will go to The Three Lions chosen charity for 2015, Farncombe-based Skillway.

It is hard to recall how many South of England gigs and Festivals have featured Bemis and Pete Christie or Pete Christie and Bemis; enough times for Pete to be known as the ‘unofficial 5th member of Bemis’ and to appear on their recent albums.

It’s an easy relationship with a shared love of great music and beautiful harmonies, and totally natural stage chemistry.

The Cellars is home turf for Bemis in Southsea – (one of the best venues on the circuit, with a superb sound and a listening and appreciative audience), and Pete has appeared not only as a “guest” with them, but also with Derrin Nauendorf and most recently, Rory Ellis.

The Cellars has been an oasis for musicians over the years, and some great collaborations have been formed backstage, as this performance will no doubt prove!
