Performing at Thomas Tripp Christchurch

December 22nd, 2016

#KeepMusicLive

One pub in Dorset has done a great job at bringing live music performances throughout the week.

Thomas Tripp in Christchurch have a great stage, an enthusiastic audience, good location, long term reputation and promote their musicians.

Happy days! I will be performing my acoustic singer songwriter set  at Thomas Tripp again on Thursday 29th December at 8.30ish. Not Christmas and Not New Years, however, it will be lots of fun!!!

Live music in Westbourne

Very pleased with the gig at The Porterhouse in Westbourne, Dorset.

The pub is under new management and doing a great job at bringing in a selection of live acoustic music. It is a traditional local pub but with a really appreciative audience: that environment makes me happy to share my songs!

You can listen to some interviews from 2015 on Wickham Festival audioboom.

A family friendly festival, it features artists of varying styles, across three stages. Wickham Festival takes place annually in the village of Wickham, Hampshire and is always good fun. The 2015 Wickham Festival was named Best Festival (Cap. under 15,000) at the Live UK Music Business Awards…glad I was there!

Folk on the Stairs

A musical experience that singer songwriters will enjoy participating in. Jim Chorley is a top musician and top bloke, who invites you into his lovely home in Hampshire and then films us singing on his stairs. Folk on the Stairs @Folkonthestairs Love it!

I sang 3 songs, the first is ‘Waiting in the Wings‘ on the Lowden.

Thomas Tripp new stage and sound system works

August 15th, 2015

Very impressed with the set up!

Easy sound system to work with, plenty of space, much better to engage with the audience from a proper stage and the lighting helps too.

Ali and Simon have certainly made The Thomas Tripp into a proper live music venue in Christchurch; plus I get to catch up with many of my loyal music mates.

Invited back next year at Wimborne Minster Folk Festival

August 15th, 2015

Very Pleased!

Seems my multi-skilling worked: #musician, MC, bouncer, audience directions, roadie, sound, PR, sweeper, babysitter…good fun!

Karen Laird did a great job organising so many local talented musicians to play…and we all got paid! Lovely Wimborne Minster Folk Festival
